How to do shibori work

Shibori crossed the road for the first time at the Södahl brand. When we had agency, I got a catalog that had the headline Shibori with a couple of samples. They were quilts, dyed with this technique!

Shibori is briefly described, a dyeing technique in which textiles, wool, even paper are set, folded, wrapped or dyed, and then dipped in color.

So I took a piece of cotton, and I got the said marbles. I applied the marbles irregularly to the piece of fabric with the help of a cotton thread. The piece of cloth came into the bucket with paint. I have it about 20 min. left inside. I must confess that was not the 100% process of dyeing. I think I need to cook the stuff properly, and then fix it. (Or just as it is in the respective color description!) Otherwise, the fabric will leave color and somehow it does not look any more beautiful!

I left it outside to dry. And the next day it looked as if this piece of fabric had become completely orange. But it was not! After I took the marbles out, I washed it again and ironed it after drying.
The result was very satisfactory.

But it looks easier than it really is! It’s difficult for impatient people like myself, but it’s not the last time I’m trying to do that.
