Here is a frame made of cardboard for a teenage room or fashion ‘fashion victim’. The cardboard allows to realize frames of all forms and thus to adapt a photo to the shape of its frame.
Step 1 – Choose the model
For the realization of this workshop ” cardboard recovery ” you will need mainly double cardboard. If you only have single corrugated cardboard, that will work too. You will simply need to cut more strips of cardboard since they will be thinner.
However, make sure for the base of the frame to have a very rigid and flat cardboard.
You will also need a cutter with a new blade, a pencil, a metal rule, a compass cutter (for the rose), a cutting mat.
Choose your model or imagine one.

Step 2 – Reproduce the model
Cut out and trace the contours of the chosen model on a flat and smooth cardboard, very rigid.

draw the contours of the shoe and the bag on the inside of the frame
Step 4 – Cut out cardboard strips
Take your box and cut the edge (side groove) to have a box straight at the start.
Then mark dots or lines in pencil every 0.5cm.
Cut strips of 0.5 cm with the knife cutter on which you will put a new blade
Place the cardboard strips on the frame.
Before pasting, place them to evaluate their layout
Spread the glue
Paste the strips
Cut out with the pair of small pointed scissors the pieces of cardboard that are slanted around the patterns (bag and shoe)
Step 6 – Ripped cardboard
To make other effects, you can cut rectangles or squares of paper. With the cutter, lift the top thickness. Remove it then scrape with the knife cutter
Step 7 – Glue the torn squares
paste the different cardboard elements: torn cardboard, cardboard strips and compose the base of your frame.
Step 8 – Finishes
Cut 4 strips of 1cm cardboard and glue them around the frame for a clean finish.
Step 9 – Paint the bag and the shoe
Paint the bag and the shoe in white. Do not add water to your painting.
Let dry well
Step 10 – Add the glitter
Put glue (same as that used to glue the cardboard) on the bottom of the grounds (bag and shoe) then sprinkle with glitter.
Remove the excess.
Repeat (there are places where there is a lack of glitter.
Let it dry
Step 11 – Add flowers and butterflies
Cut out flowers and butterflies with embossing punch. Paste them on the frame
Add and paste flourishes on the top of the frame
do not forget to stick a fastener on the back of the frame
